I’m going through this right now with my father as well. It’s a tough place to be. All the lawyer and Medicare stuff is 100% true... Pop is in a good place, as far as I can tell, but it’s expensive and difficult to staff. He’s better off there, my mom and I couldn’t keep up all the care by ourselves, and she did most of it.
And all of this is in a system his generation allowed to be created.
